Cham-Pang - Tantum Ergo (EP CD)

Cham-pang, was a collective concept created by Pyer Desrochers, fronted by Yvel Champang and included musicians Alan McCarthy (MEN WITHOUT HATS) and Mario Spezza (RATIONAL YOUTH). Cham-pang’s debut and only YUL Records release, was a unique fusion of modern electronic music and French chanson, and was a critical and commercial success upon its release in 1981.

30 years later, ‘Ne mourez Pas’ (Don’t die) is still getting radio & club play, and has been featured in high profile designer fashion shows. YUL Records is proud to present an official re-release of these original vinyl tracks, mastered from the original analogue tapes, plus 3 never-beforereleased tracks, featuring 2 live songs from the historic Electro Beat Cabaret shows in Montreal, and an unreleased dub mix of ‘Ne Mourez Pas’ for a total duration of over 35 minutes for this EP.
