Poland’s DOGS IN TREES are back with their second full-length studio effort titled ECHO.

Riding on the momentum of their previous releases, DOGS IN TREES continue shaping their personal approach to dark music. ECHO bridges the gaps between coldwave, post-punk and darkwave, subtly blending genres into a modern and fascinating sound.

Throughout this record, DOGS IN TREES draw the listener into a journey off the beaten track, with dreamy soundscapes emerging from the hazy light of dusk. Pawel Gozdziewicz’s soulfully poised vocals are carried along by attractive bass lines (played by Arkusz Ksiazczak), mechanical rhythms (performed by the band’s new drummer - Tymek Lasota), atmospheric guitars and enveloping synths, all beautifully orchestrated with melancholic melodies that last in memory.

The record includes ten songs, some of them written in Polish, bringing an even deeper dimension to the already solid tracks. As a whole, ECHO is an emotional, exquisitely bleak and thoughtfully crafted album.

Definitely one of this year’s absolute must-listen-to for any dark music lover.
