Glasspool was formed in 2005 by Justin Alan and Brian Olsen. They had met four years previous and already had bonded through similar tastes in music. Both happened to be synthpop songwriters with many solo demos under each other's belts so it wasn't a total shock when the two decided to collaborate under the Glasspool moniker. They spent almost 2 years writing, programming, and fine-tuning each others contributions, ending up with a total of 15 songs. Next, enter Beau Baker, the production wizard known for being the drummer/programmer of the L.A. based Depeche Mode tribute band Violator, who stepped in at Glasspool's request to take their production up a notch.
From July to November 2007 they were able to work together on several songs which are on the EP. In February 2008 the songs were mastered by Kristian Kroll of the Danish synthpop band Fake The Envy, shortly after Justin left the band for personal reasons.
