Heimberg - Blind Eye & Isolation EPs (CD)

Hypnotic, dynamic and cold, such is the sound produced by Heimberg, a dark Post-Punk trio from Strasbourg/France, formed in 2022. They produce a sound both energetic and cold, with industrial acoustics. Minimalist, but at the same time melodious, the guitar is airy, and the vocals are plaintive and remote. The bass, supported by the synthesizer and the drum machine, set the scene for a raw and stern atmosphere. It creates a sound drowned in reverb and chorus effects.

This project of young men aims to challenge certain emotions. Sadness, melancholy and loneliness, all themes approached throughout the songs. Since their 2 EPs, previously released digitally only (“Isolation” in late 2022 and “Blind Eye” in spring 2023), Heimberg is working hard on their regular debut album. In the meantime, this special release unites the two EPs for the first time on a physical format.

Their EP "Endless Lies" inspires a deep melancholy, both dark and energizing. The sound is industrial, accentuated by punctuation of noisy parts. The bass embraces a rough and distorted resonance, the guitar sinks in reverb and delay.
