With "Legende" Leichenwetter present their fourth album by now. Even after more than 10 years of band history the unusual concept still defines the sounds and lyrics of the 12 album tracks.
Leichenwetter use classic literature in German and shape a truly unique oeuvre out of it by means of hammering, driving and sometimes dark rock music.
On "Legende" texts by Ernst Stadler, Clemens Brentano, Georg Trakl, Johann Gottfried von Herder, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Conrad Ferdinand Meyer, Ernst Moritz Arndt and Heinrich Heine are to be found being interpreted in a variety of ways and resulting into an album full of epic-hymnic rock songs.
This concept actually allows to integrate critical and current topics as is impressively proven by the track "Beschwörung" (Heinrich Heine) that deals with child abuse inside of the Church. The only exception is a thrilling cover version of Falco's "Out Of The Dark" which is, yet, in total harmony with the whole sound characteristics of the album.
