HNN stands for “Hsilgne Nekorb Ni” or ‘In Broken English” [read backwards] and is the solo project of Gregg Anthe, formerly of the highly successful acts Morthem Vlade Art and In Broken English. Where Morthem Vlade Art is a straight Goth Rock band and In Broken English takes it's influences from Factory postpunk, with HNN Gregg explores the more arty & (minimal) synthpop side of Factory, especially it's Belgian offshoot Factory Benelux and Les Disques des Crépuscule.
If L'Île Nue would have been an 80's album it would surely have been a release on the latters’ roster!
