Dark Electro / New Wave
Belgian singer Koen De Brabander (ex-Dead Poets) and bassplayer Philippe Lefief joined forces in 2010 to create their new dark electro project Northern Sadness.
Their debut album “Riddles Of Lunacy” combines various styles of dark electronic wave music, from dark-hypnotic tracks like "All This Noise", slow, dark and moody songs ("Poets And Angels", "I Remember You Pretty") to more industrial-electro ("And What To Believe").
Singer Koen's dark and intimate voice joins perfectly with the transparent electronic soundscapes created, which are inspired by Belgian dark-electro roots but embedded into a very contemporary sound.
As a special song the band has recorded the 80s Red Zebra classic "I Can't Live In A Living Room", which was trans-formed into an impulsive uptempo electronic dance track.
