The highlight: different mix versions were chosen from the old DAT master recordings and all tracks have carefully been remastered for this Vinyl re-release. An elaborate, upgraded artwork completes the release.

For more than thirty years now, DAS ICH has been at the forefront of the global black scene as formative veterans. Without ever having lost any relevance, the two main protagonists Stefan Ackermann and Bruno Kramm mix a radical sound cocktail of danceable electronics, symphonic set pieces and morbid, German-language hymns full of lyrical directness, that is second to none.

“Staub” was the big ‘breakthrough’ Album for DAS ICH, recorded in 1993 and released in 1994, after the first major European tour and under the impression of the huge success of the debut album “Die Propheten’ (1991, Danse Macabre). “Staub” with its mid-tempi and poetical lyrics, is less aggressive than “Die Propheten” but songs such as ‘Von der Armut’ (also a highly successful single) or ‘Unschuld Erde’ are ‘everblacks’ of the Gothic scene until today!
