Clock DVA's 'White Souls In Black Suits' – the 1980 debut album from the Sheffield pioneers led by Adi Newton – returns in a fully remastered edition. Originally released as a limited cassette on Throbbing Gristle's Industrial Records, it is now being released via The Grey Area of Mute on double black vinyl, expanded with four bonus tracks from the same era. The recordings were made at Cabaret Voltaire's Western Works studio in Sheffield and combine electronic sound processing, musique concrète, improvised structures, and raw post-punk into one of the earliest documents of the industrial and proto-EBM movement. The remaster comprises 10 tracks, including the guest appearance by Cabaret Voltaire on 'Anti-Chance'. An essential piece of music history for fans of Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, and the Sheffield industrial school.
