As a short interlude on the path to the album "Chapter 2," the limited single "der Dunkelheit / my Vertigo" not only bridges the wait but significantly heightens anticipation for what is to come. "der Dunkelheit" (towards the darkness) builds, as the title suggests, a gloomy, almost meditative atmosphere that draws you into its dark world. "my Vertigo," on the other hand, shows the more electronic, powerful, and catchy side of Diary of Dreams. 2 songs, 2 worlds — released on Digipak CDS, strictly limited to 700 copies worldwide. The darkwave project of the German musician Adrian Hates has existed since 1989 and has been releasing music on his own label, Accession Records, since 1995.
